FH Shop Hours
Pride is a celebration of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and intersex (LGBTQI+) community. It is a time to come together, celebrate our diversity, and fight for our rights.
History of Pride
The first Pride march was held in New York City on June 28, 1970, to commemorate the one-year anniversary of the Stonewall Riots. The riots were a pivotal moment in the LGBTQI+ rights movement, and Pride has been celebrated every year since to mark the progress that has been made and to continue to fight for equality.
TX Pride
TX Pride is the largest LGBTQI+ pride celebration in Texas. It is a two-day event that takes place in Houston's Historic Market Square Park. The event features live music, drag performances, vendors, and a family-friendly zone.
